Dance Dynamics is thrilled to be offering music lessons in Hebron. We offer private music instruction in both guitar and piano. Our guitar instructor, Alex Aldridge, and our piano instructor, Debra Sloan, are committed to providing clear, detailed instruction in a passionate manner.
Alex Aldridge
A native of Des Moines, Iowa, Alex received a Bachelor’s in music from the University of Northern Iowa in 2015 where he studied with Robert Dunn. He has performed across the Midwest and throughout New England. Additionally, Alex has performed internationally on several occasions. In the summer of 2014, he toured Spain with the UNI Varsity Men’s Glee Club both as both a singer and a soloist on guitar. Later that summer Alex attended The Volterra Project, a one-week guitar workshop and master class led by Greek virtuoso Antigoni Goni in Volterra, Italy. In Spring of 2016, he performed solo guitar in Reykjavik, Iceland at the Free Church of Reykjavik.
Alex has performed in master classes for internationally acclaimed guitarists Gaelle Solal, The Los Angeles Guitar Quartet, Thibaut Garcia, Andrew York, Jason Vieaux, Christopher Ladd and Oscar Ghiglia.
Most recently Alex and his duo partner, flautist Sierra Schmeltzer, were awarded 2nd place in the annual Hartt Chamber music competition. Additionally, in spring of 2018, he was a featured soloist with the contemporary music ensemble “Foot in the Door”. He is currently pursuing his Master’s degree under the direction of Richard Provost and resides in West Hartford, Connecticut, as both teacher and performer.

Debbie Sloan
Debbie grew up in Waterford, Ct. She has always loved music and learning whatever she could about it. She started accordion lessons when she was 10 and continued into high school. Debbie was a member of the Waterford High School Chorus and Band (French horn).
She attended Annhurst College in Woodstock, Ct. where she graduated with a B.A. in Music Theory and Elementary Ed. Debbie taught lessons privately and at Hi-G Music Studio in Jewett City, Ct. on piano, accordion, and organ while attending Eastern Ct. University for some Master Courses in Elementary Education. Besides giving lessons, she directed choir at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Brooklyn for over twenty years and taught music at St. Mary’s School in Putnam and Jewett CIty, Ct. and St. John’s in Plainfield, Ct. to students in Pre-k through 8th grade for twenty years.
Debbie moved to Texas in 2002, where she was the Director at Open Arms CDC for children 18 months through School Age for eight years. She attended Delmar College in Corpus Christi to study Early Childhood Education to obtain my Director’s license.
She has lived in Connecticut for the last three years and is currently teaching at St. James School in Danielson where she teaches Music to students in preschool through fifth grade. She enjoys singing in the choir at St. Luke’s Church in Gales Ferry. Debbie loves sharing the joy of music with children!
